On April 22 we are all reminded about making good choices for Mother Earth. At Mimi the Sardine we try to recycle as much as we can, use cloth napkins when we eat, use water sparingly and — of course– always bring our own bags when we go shopping!
This month we are also reminded about our business choices. As you know all our kids products are made with 100% ORGANIC cotton. So why is it so important that the cotton is “organic”, doesn’t pesticides that might be left on the cotton products wash away in the laundry? Well, on a greater scale cotton is an extremely pesticide intense crop, and these pesticides end up on workers and deep in the soil causing many health issues. Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Our prints are created using regulated dyes and chemicals in eco-certified facilities.
So a big thanks to you, our customers and fans, for helping the Earth, by reusing and recycling. We are glad our products are part of your day, everyday.
